Mellor Oxland was founded by David Oxland back in 2008 with the aim of offering bespoke tax advice combined with excellent client service to private clients who might have felt that their personal tax affairs were simply an ‘add-on’ to an impersonal corporate relationship at larger firms.
Fast forward to the present day, and we are now a four-partner firm offering the full range of taxation and accountancy services to a wide range of private clients and their personal companies, drawing on the wealth of knowledge of our experienced team. Whilst our team has grown, we remain committed to our founding ethos of delivering high quality, rounded advice to our clients but with the personal service that smaller firms can offer. Given the high level of professional qualifications of our team, we believe we have the ability to handle clients of all sizes and levels of wealth.
We are based in the centre of Nottingham and have clients throughout the UK. We work closely with clients and their legal and financial advisers to deliver exceptional client service, as we aim to be the number one choice for private clients and their family companies in the region.
We offer both compliance and advisory work including company and sole trader accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns, capital gains tax, trusts and inheritance tax planning. Please do get in touch with us to discuss how we may be able to assist you info@melloroxland.co.uk
Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals. With many years of experience in the industry, they have the expertise to provide comprehensive, first-rate services to our clients.
David founded Mellor Oxland LLP in 2008, having previously worked as a partner in two East Midlands firms of accountants and business advisers.
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the 1970s and was awarded the Howitt Prize. He quickly followed this by passing the Institute of Taxation’s exams. He has specialised for the past 20 years as a private client adviser but often with emphasis on those clients’ personal companies. Working with his three highly qualified partners, the aim is to provide multi-disciplinary advice.
David is married with three grown-up daughters and six grandchildren. He is a very successful Masters athlete and holds several British track records in his present age band, having previously held a World record and won three World championships in an earlier age band. David still competes at senior level for his club Notts AC, and is a member of the club’s committee. He is past president of the Midland Masters Athletic Club and recently retired as Hon Treasurer of the British Masters Athletic Federation.
